Queen City Middle School’s volleyball program finished its season last week against New Boston, and placed second in district play.

The seventh grade A team ended their season with a win over New Boston by scores of 25-23 and 25-23. Abby Brannon was the top server with nine points.

The seventh grade B team won their game with scores of 25-16 and 14-12. Abby Young was the top scorer with 12 points.

The eighth grade A team fell short to New Boston with scores of 25-19 and 25-19, but did finish second overall in district play. Bailee Black was the top scorer with nine points. “Last year this group only won one game for the entire season. Their progress this season has been remarkable,” Coach Mary Stiger said.

The eighth grade B team won their game with scores of 25-17 and 13-7. Kaylin Griffin was the top scorer with five points.
