Rabbs, Lady Rabbs win Eagle Relays at Tatum
Atlanta’s track program keeps rolling along and last Thursday both the boys’ and girls’ teams won titles at the Eagle Relays hosted by Tatum ISD.
Varsity Boys
The varsity boys racked up 191 points en route to another relay title. Host Tatum was second with 121 points, Timpson third with 88, Beckville had 86, Pleasant Grove 64 and Tenaha 62.
In the 100m dash La’Randion Dowden placed second with a time of 10.52 and Caleb Hamilton third with a time of 10.75; in the 200m dash Matthew Cauley placed third at 22.74; in the 400m dash Jaquan Robinson placed second at 54.40; in the 100m hurdles Kameron George placed second at 16.47 and Stacy Darty placed fifth at 17.52 and in the 300m hurdles Stacy Darty placed fourth at 45.61, Lakecion Matthews fifth at 46.05 and Kameron George sixth at 47.91.
In the 800m run
Xzavian Johnson finished fifth at 2:13.36 and Jaquan Robinson sixth at 2:13.53; in the 1600m run Noah Dowda placed fifth overall with a time of 5:10.88 and in the 3200m run Dowda finished second at 11:09.00.
The 4x100m relay team of Kameron Dickerson, Zakyus Jackson, La’Randion Dowden and Caleb Hamilton placed first at 44.03; the 4x200m relay team of Zakyus Jackson, Xzavian Johnson, Kameron George and Matthew Cauley placed first at 1:31.89 and the 4x400m relay team of Stacy Darty, Xzavian Johnson, Eli Riojas and Matthew Cauley placed second at 3:30.84.
Keyshawn Easter finished first in the triple jump with a mark of 43 feet, 1 1/2 inches and second in the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 1 inch; Daimion Collins placed first in the high jump with a mark of 6 feet even; in pole vault Hunter Clayton placed first with a mark of 13 feet even, Will Porterfield placed third at 11 feet even and Adrian Kennington placed fourth at 11 feet even; in shot put Trey Adams placed first with a heave of 43 feet, 10 inches, Tyrell King placed second at 43 feet, 5 inches and Isaiah Henderson placed sixth at 36 feet, 9 1/2 inches and in discus Trey Adams placed third at 108 feet, 7 inches and Jordan Stiger fourth with a toss of 104 feet, nine inches.
Varsity Girls
The varsity girls rolled up 165 points with host Tatum second with 122, Timpson third with 103, Beckville fourth with 99, PG fifth with 88 and Tenaha last with 16.
In the 100m dash McKenzie Martin placed third at 13.28 and JD Larry fourth at 13.30; in the 200m dash Jennifer Easter placed first with a time of 27.17 and McKenzie Martin fifth at 28.15; in the 400m dash MaKaylin King finished fifth at 1:07.22 and Makayla Martin sixth at 1:08.02 and in the 300m hurdles Tianna Lawson p l a c e d third at 50.23 and KeKe Hunt third at 53.13.
Kaylon Partain placed second overall in the 800m run with a time of 2:31.89; in the 1600m run Aurelia Giesler placed second at 6:22.02 and Kendall Fant third at 6:25.37 and in the 3200m run Keri Fomby placed second at 13:03.00, Aurelia Giesler third at 14:21.00 and Kendall Fant fifth at 14:36.00.
The 4x100m relay team of JD Larry, Savore Chism, Tianna Lawson and Jennifer Easter placed first at 50.79; the 4x200m relay team of Kaylon Partain, JD Larry, Tianna Lawson and Jennifer Easter placed first at 1:51.24 and the 4x400m relay team of Laykn Bush, Kaylon Partain, Makayla Martin and McKenzie Martin placed fourth at 4:31.86.
Jennifer Easter placed fourth overall in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, 8 1/4 inches; Kaylon Partain placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 32 feet even; Tianna Lawson and Caitlynn Bailey placed 2-3 in the high jump with marks of 4 feet, 10 inches each and in shot put Quenijah Cook placed first at 35 feet, 7 1/2 inches and teammate Keymya Smith placed third at 32 feet, 8 1/2 inches.
Atlanta will host the Rabbit Pride Relays Thursday, Apr. 1, and then host the District 14-3A meet Apr. 7-8.
Weather permitting tor the Rabbit Pride Relays the 3200m run will begin at noon, field event warm-ups start at 12:40 p.m. and field events commence at 1 p.m.
All field events/runways will be closed during the 3200m run. There will be three jumps/throws – No finals (both divisions).
The running finals will begin at 3:30 p.m.
