Rabbits beat Sabine 28-14

Atlanta won its first game of the year last Friday night as they erased a 14-0 deficit Sabine had set in the first frame.

The Rabbs put up 21 unanswered points before the half and nailed down the 28-14 win on Homecoming night. After Daimion Collins and Jennifer Easter were crowned

Rabbit Royalty the football team made a night of it.

Caleb Hamilton, who had been out with an injury sustained early in the Liberty-Eylau game, scored all three touchdowns in the second quarter to put the Rabbs ahead for good.

Keith Kinney, who had been out since before the season began, scored the late touchdown to keep the Rabbits on top.

The defense has practically lived in the backfield all season long and this game was no different. Isaiah Henderson led the way with a sack, three QB hurries, seven solo tackles and assisted on seven others with six tackles going for losses.

Logan Shelton hounded the Sabine QB all night as he dropped the field general twice and had four QB hurries.

Shelton also had four solo tackles, eight assisted and five tackles for loss. Lakecion Matthews added four solo tackles, eight assisted and two tackles for loss.

Quentin Hill and Tyrell King registered some nice numbers as well as Trae Adams and DK Parker.

Terunte Neal and Jackson Warren both had picks in the contest and the defense held Sabine to only 115 yards total offense.

Overall Henderson leads the way on the season thus far with 73 tackles, Jordan Stiger has 67, Shelton has 61, Matthews 58, Neal 44, Adams 43, Warren 40 and Matthew Cauley 33.

Atlanta plays Gladewater this Friday night with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
