Rabbit, Bulldog lifters compete at Redwater invite
Both Atlanta and Queen City’s powerlifting programs competed in the Redwater Invitational Feb. 10.
Atlanta finished in fourth place which was just a point back of both DeKalb and Waskom, and QC finished sixth overall.
In the team standings Redwater won the meet followed by DeKalb, Waskom, Atlanta, Hughes Springs, Queen City, Liberty-Eylau, Maud, Texas High, James Bowie, New Boston and Clarksville.
For the ladies L-E was first overall followed by Redwater, Clarksville, James Bowie, Maud, Atlanta, Texas High, Hughes Springs, Queen City and DeKalb.
Atlanta Boys
Avery Whitlow placed first overall in the 123-pound weight class with a total lift of 915 pounds, Josiah Hunt placed second in the 132’s with a total lift of 770 pounds, Kyle Gross placed first in the 181-pound weight class with a total of 1,205 pounds lifted, Xavier Nash placed sixth in the 181’s with a total of 1,050 pounds lifted, Jaymari Howard placed 13th in the 181’s with a total lift of 910 pounds, Wesley Kennedy placed third in the 198-pound weight class with a total lift of 970 pounds, Isaiah Harrison placed eighth in the 220’s with a total of 1,095 pounds lifted, Jaden Wells placed second overall in the 242-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,385 pounds, Adrick Patterson placed eighth in the 242’s with a total lift of 945 pounds, Davonne Crocker placed fourth in the 275’s with a total lift of 1,160 pounds, Carlos Cortes placed sixth in the 308’s with a total of 1,150 pounds lifted and Corbyn Wilson placed ninth in the 208’s with a total lift of 935 pounds.
As far as the top 10 regional ranked lifters go Avery Whitlow is fourth in his class, Kyle Gross is ninth in his class and Jaden Wells is fifth in his class.
Atlanta Girls
Derronica Talton placed ninth in her weight class with a total of 455 pounds lifted, Anna Daniels placed third overall in her weight class with a total of 580 pounds lifted, Reaganne Molina and A’nessa Smith placed 4-5 in their weight class with totals of 520 pounds lifted each and Rylie Wilson placed first overall in her division with a total lift of 415 pounds.
Queen City Boys
Braden Wiley placed fourth in the 148-pound weight class with a total lift of 855 pounds, Micah Whittington placed 11th in the 148’s with a total lift of 645 pounds, Delvon Federick placed second in the 165’s with a total of 1,085 pounds lifted, Christian Nard placed sixth in the 165’s with a total of 1,000 pounds lifted, James Obenoskey placed eighth in the 165-pound weight class with a total lift of 895 pounds, Timothey Brady placed 13th in the 165’s with a total lift of 760 pounds, Clint Wooding placed 11th in the 181’s with a total lift of 955 pounds, Zach Restelle placed 11th in the 220’s with a total of 1,050 pounds lifted, Brandon Harwell placed 14th in the 220’s with a total of 870 pounds lifted, Daniel Jones placed fifth in the 275’s with a total lift of 1,130 pounds, Tyson Bell placed 11th in the 275’s with a total lift of 920 pounds, Ryhen Pope placed third in the 308’s with a total of 1,335 pounds lifted and Cedric Davis placed first over all in the Super Heavyweights division with a total of 1,635 pounds lifted.
As far as the top 10 regional ranked lifters go Cedric Davis is first in his class and Rhyen Pope is seventh in his class.
Queen City Girls
Courtney Price totaled 500 pounds lifted in her weight class and placed fifth, Erica Lavoie placed seventh in her weight class with a total lift of 595 pounds, Halle Worthington placed 12th in her weight class with a total of 490 pounds lifted, Ruby McCasland placed 14th in her class with a total of 475 pounds lifted and Aubrie Kiser placed first overall in her weight class with a total of 650 pounds lifted.
