Queen City volleyball splits contests

Ore City

Queen City’s volleyball program battled Ore City Aug. 21, and swept all matches.

The varsity team won in straight sets, 25-20, 25- 23, 25-22, with Mallori Stringer posting nine service points, Lauren Carrol added six service points and 13 Kills, and Tia Willson recorded fiveservice points and four kills.

The junior varsity team won in straights sets, 25- 21, 25-5, with Trinity Oden earning 20 service points and six kills, and Kenayah Larry posting 12 service points.

Rivercrest

On Aug. 22, the Lady Bulldogs fell in five sets to Rivercrest.

Rivercrest took the first two sets, 25-13 and 28-26, but QC came back to take the third and fourth sets, 27-25, 25-19.

Rivercrest took the fifth and deciding set, 15-6. Lauren Carrell had three blocks, Tia Wilson added four blocks, Chyna Stiger posted four kills and Mallori Stringer had 17 service points.
