Queen City Lady Bulldogs dominate All-District list
Queen City’s softball team had a historic season as it wrapped up a District title, a Bi-District title and an Area championship.
The 14-3A All-District list was released recently and several Lady Bulldogs were listed.
Sophomore Trinity Oden was named District MVP, freshman Brenna Turbeville was named Newcomer of the Year and Coach Eric Droddy and Coach Jacie Lance were named Staff of the Year.
Sophomore Mallori Stringer and junior Erica Lavoie earned First Team Infield honors, sophomores Serenity Oden and Lauren Carrell earned First Team Outfield honors and junior Jacey Cauthorn earned First Team Designated Player honors.
Freshman Keeli Mainer earned Second Team Catcher honors, sophomore Laurel Moore earned Second Team Infield honors and sophomore Kelsey Nash earned Second Team Outfield honors.
All Lady Bulldogs were listed as making the All-Academic Team.
Making it to the fourth round of the playoffs with a young team bodes well for QC softball’s future.
