J.K. HILEMAN PRINCESS:
The fourth grade Princess for J.K. Hileman Elementary is ZOE BAKER. She is the daughter of Tommy & Amber Baker. She is the granddaughter of Chris Young, Reeda Rhyne, and Mike & Cathy Baker. Zoe has been on the A honor roll at JKH. She loves participating in competition cheer at Flip-n-Cheer and playing travel softball. When she grows up, Zoe wants to work at a zoo.
J.K. HILEMAN PRINCE:
The fourth grade Prince for J.K. Hileman Elementary is KUTTER HOWARD. He is the son of Seth & Kayla Howard. He is the grandson of Stephen & Susan Fawcett and Keith & Twila Howard. He is the great grandson of Barbara Fawcett. Kutter is a member of First Baptist Church Queen City where he is active in the Awanas Club and the Bible Drill team. He is currently on the Pirates soccer team, and he has been part of the Queen City basketball and football programs. He has been on the A-B Honor Roll and earned the Awesome Bulldog Award. In the future, Kutter hopes to be on the A honor roll, have the most AR points and be the Champion Bulldog. He hopes to finish in the top of his class and pursue a career in architecture. In his spare time, Kutter enjoys building with Legos, making forts, swimming, hanging out and playing games with friends, hunting, fishing, working with his dad and running 5Ks with his mom. Kutter would like to thank his classmates for voting him to represent the fourth grade class. Go Bulldogs!
MORRIS UPCHURCH MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCESS: The eighth grade Princess for Morris Upchurch Middle School is ANNA LEIGH YOUNG. She is the daughter of Brian & Leigh Ann Young. She is the granddaughter of Ben & Tammy Tyson and Keith & Paula Young. At the middle school, Anna Leigh is the parliamentarian for the MUMS Student Council. She is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society, the Math and Science Team, the Archery Team, the Band and the Jazz Band. Her plans for the future are to attend college and pursue a degree in the medical field. In her spare time, Anna Leigh enjoys reading, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
MORRIS UPCHURCH MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCE: The eighth grade Prince for Morris Upchurch Middle School is EVAN BENSON. He is the son of Michael & Susie Benson. He is the grandson of Warner & Shirley Finlayson and Charles & Patricia Benson. At the middle school, Evan is a member of the Queen City Bass Fishing Team, the National Junior Honor Society, the UIL Calculator Team and the Math and Science Team. After high school, Evan hopes to attend college to earn a degree in mechanical engineering. Evan also enjoys playing football and basketball and fishing in his spare time.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN PRINCESS: The ninth grade Princess for Queen City High School is MAKENNA HAMILTON. She is the daughter of Phillip & Jennifer Hamilton. She is the granddaughter of Oscar & Glenda Givens and Dwight & Patricia Hamilton. Makenna stays busy being involved with the Band of Champions, varsity cheer, athletics, student council and the gifted and talented program. After high school, Makenna plans to attend college and major in business. In her spare time, she likes to read, swim, play sports, cook, and spend time with her friends and family.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN PRINCE: The ninth grade Prince for Queen City High School is DAKETRICK SMITH. He is the son of Carmen Dickerson. His grandparents are Ronnie & Cynthia Smith. Daketrick is on the varsity football team at QCHS and plans to play basketball as well. Last year, he was awarded the Youth Citizenship Award which was a big honor for him. After high school, he plans to go to college and hopefully play basketball at the collegiate level. In his spare time, Daketrick likes to play basketball, listen to music, watch Tik Toks, and chill with his friends.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORE PRINCESS: The 10th grade Princess for Queen City High School is AN’TONIANNA GAMBLE. She is the daughter of Demeshia Gamble and Eric Matthews. She is the granddaughter of Bernice Gamble, Michael Kelly, Willie Taylor and Lessie Taylor. At QCHS, An’Tonianna is a member of the Band of Champions and helped them win the bronze medal at the UIL State Marching Contest her freshman year. She is also a varsity cheerleader and helped the squad bring home the bronze medal from the UIL State Spirit Competition last year. She also loves being in the One Act Play and was a cast member of the first place district UIL One Act Play in ninth grade. At cheer camp this summer, An’Tonianna was named an All-American Cheerleader. After high school, she plans to attend college to pursue a medical degree. In her spare time, she loves making Tik Toks with her mom. She also loves spending time with Alyssa, Reagan, McKynli, other friends and her family.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORE PRINCE: The 10th grade Prince for Queen City High School is HUNTER PARKER. He is the son of Doug & Angela Parker. His grandparents are William Huddleston, Darlene Stone and Wanda Thompson. Hunter is a member of the Queen City High School Varsity Football Team. After high school, he plans to become either a professional horse trainer or a game warden. In his spare time, Hunter enjoys riding horses, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his nephew.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR PRINCESS: The 11th grade Princess for Queen City High School is SERENITY ODEN. She is the daughter of Ed & Caron Oden and the granddaughter of Arthur & Sandra Oden and Carolyn Dressler & the late Ray Dressler. At QCHS, Serenity plays varsity volleyball, varsity basketball, varsity softball and runs varsity track. Last year, she was named the 1st team All District Outfielder in softball, recognized as the basketball offensive Most Valuable Player, qualified for the regional track meet in two sports, and received 2nd team All District honors in basketball. Her future plans are to play softball at the collegiate level and major in kinesiology to pursue a career in physical therapy. Serenity is a multi-sport athlete so she spends all her spare time playing volleyball, basketball, softball and running track. During the fall and summer, she plays for two travel softball teams – Louisiana Titans and Student Athlete Advancement.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR PRINCE: The 11th grade Prince for Queen City High School is TREVONNE HORSLEY. He is the son of Chauniquewuah Thompson and Gerald Horsley. He is the grandson of Cynthia Thompson, Claud Robertson, Verneda Clemons and Verno Horsley. Trevonne plays varsity football, varsity basketball and runs varsity track. He also competes in academic UIL and participates in the gifted and talented program. After high school, he plans to attend college to major in engineering and hopefully play basketball at the collegiate level. In his spare time, Trevonne likes to read, play basketball and play 2K22.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR FOOTBALL SWEETHEART: The 2022 Queen City High School Football Sweetheart is ERICA LAVOIE.
She is the daughter of Eric & Barbara Lavoie. She is the granddaughter of Paul & Barbara Koch, David Browe and his partner Cheryl, and Jack & Cecile Lavoie. At QCHS, Erica serves as the secretary on Student Council, is a varsity cheerleader, runs cross country, plays basketball and plays softball. Last year, she was named to the All-District First Team for infield in softball and was recognized as the Most Valuable Player for the girls’ cross country team. She was also named the Lady Bulldog of the Year for the 21-22 year. She has earned the outstanding student award in Spanish II and Pre-Cal Honors. Erica serves the community in the Interact Club, and she also participates in the Gifted and Talented Program. Her future plans are to attend college and hopefully play softball at the collegiate level. She wants to earn a degree to be a high school math teacher and coach thanks to Mrs. Dotson and Coach Lance. In her spare time, Erica enjoys painting, traveling, playing board games and watching TV with her family, playing travel softball and hanging out with her friends. She says thank you to the QCHS Football Team for giving her this great honor. Erica would also like to thank her coaches, family and teachers for always encouraging her and pushing her to do her best. You all have played such a big part in her life and she is thankful for every experience, both the good and the bad.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR HOMECOMING QUEEN NOMINEES: LANDRI BECKHAM is the daughter of Craig & Staci Beckham. She is the granddaughter of Cathy Goolsby and the late Jim Goolsby and the late Dudley and Sandra Beckham. Landri has served as a representative on the QCHS Student Council for three years, serves the community with the Interact Club, and has been in National Honor Society since 10th grade. She serves as the National Honor Society reporter this year. She has also been a Varsity Cheerleader for all four years of high school. She helped her squad earn the bronze medal at the UIL State Spirit Competition last year and she was named the Gameday Girl of the Year. She has been on the all A honor roll throughout high school, and she is an active member of First Baptist Church Queen City and Gravity Student Ministries. After graduation, Landri plans to attend college to pursue a degree in nursing in hopes of one day furthering her education to become a nurse practitioner. In her spare time, Landry enjoys hanging out with her best friend, Reagan, joking around with Aubrie and Brylee in class, and playing with her favorite dog, Bandit. She also loves spending time with her family and keeping her niece Wrenlee. She would like to give a special shout out to her boyfriend, Brent, for always being there and never missing a game. Landri would like to thank the senior class for allowing her this opportunity to be a homecoming queen nominee.
EBIE DOTSON is the daughter of Jeff & Lesley Dotson and the granddaughter of Pam Shirley and Bobby & Patsy Dotson. Ebie has served as the Drum Major for the Band of Champions for the past two years and led them to earn their second consecutive bronze medal in the UIL State Marching Contest last year. She has been an active member of the QCHS Student Council serving as a representative her freshman year, the parliamentarian for the next two year and as the student body president this year. She has been in the National Honor Society for the past two years and is currently serving as the treasurer this year. Ebie has also helped serve her community through the Interact Club for the past three years. After high school, Ebie plans to attend Stephen F. Austin State University to pursue a degree in the medical field. In her spare time, Ebie loves helping with Awanas at First Baptist Church Queen City. She also enjoys spending time with her family and watching Elvis movies with her best friend Kat.
ASHLYNN HARTZO is the daughter of Clint & Jamie Hartzo. She is the granddaughter of James Rowland, the late Mary Hartzo, Linda Milligan and the late Paul Hartzo. Ashlynn is a member of the Queen City Band of Champions and helped them earn a bronze medal at the UIL State Marching Contest in her freshman and junior years. She is also actively involved in the Interact Club and the QCHS Theater Program. She received the Outstanding Student Award in Theater her junior year and in Algebra I her freshman year. Ashlynn has been on the All A Honor Roll throughout high school. Her future plans are to attend college and pursue a degree in Forensic Science. In her spare time, she enjoys playing board games, drawing, watching movies, listening to music and hanging out with her family.
CASSIDY JOHNSON is the daughter of Mary Stiger, Zey & Ana Johnson and the step-daughter of Cedric Sewell. She is the granddaughter of Robert & Mattie Chamblee, Lonzel Johnson and Patty Johnson. Cassidy has been a varsity cheerleader for
