J.K. HILEMAN PRINCESS:
The fourth grade Princess for J.K. Hileman Elementary is AALIYAH BOWMAN. She is the daughter of Wesley and Kristen Bowman and the granddaughter of Bobby and Barbara Bowman. Aaliyah has been a softball player for four years and participates in cheer. While attending J.K. Hileman Elementary, she has participated in U.I.L Spelling and is in the Gifted and Talented Program. She dreams of going to college and playing softball and becoming a veterinarian.
J.K. HILEMAN PRINCE:
The fourth grade Prince for J.K. Hileman Elementary is COOPER KIMBLE. He is the son of Tommy and Melissa Kimble and the grandson of Marshall and Debbie Loven and the late Bud and Kathy Rachall. Cooper enjoys playing kickball, traveling with family, playing with his chickens, and cheering for the Queen City Bulldogs. He is a member of First Baptist Church Queen City and an Awana Club member. While at J.K. Hileman Elementary, Cooper has been awarded AB Honor Roll and plans to participate on the archery team this school year. His plans for the future are to own an exotic animal ranch with ostriches, horses, Longhorn cows, chickens, zebras, llamas, and alligators.
MORRIS UPCHURCH MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCESS: The eighth grade Princess for Morris Upchurch Middle School is HAYDEN STOERMER. She is the daughter of Jamie Metzger and Jason Stoermer and the granddaughter of Roger Metzger, Karen Metzger-Barnes, and Larry and Vickie Stoermer. She has been on the honor roll, named Outstanding Student, and is a Bulldog Leader. She enjoys art, playing outside, playing with her cats, and spending time with her family. In the future, Hayden plans to go to college and study to become a veterinarian.
MORRIS UPCHURCH MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCE: The eighth grade Prince for Morris Upchurch Middle School is GERALD MALINA. He is the son of Daniel and Amanda Malina and the brother of Queen City High School student Travis Malina. He is a member of the MUMS Band and is a roadie for the Queen City High School Band of Champions. Gerald also participates in many academic events for MUMS. He is a two-time state qualifier for the TMSCA Science Team, is on the UIL Science and Chess Teams, and participates in the One Act Play where he is part of the stage crew. He has also been on the honor roll and has been awarded Outstanding Science Student. In his spare time, he likes playing video games and hanging out with his friends. Though Gerald is not sure exactly what he wants to do in the future, he does plan on having a career that pays well.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN PRINCESS: The ninth grade Princess for Queen City High School is AVA SHELTON. She is the daughter of Chappy and Melissa Shelton and the sister of Brent Walker and Alivia Shelton. She is the granddaughter of William and Debbie Martin and the late Chappy and Eugenia Shelton. She is a member of the Queen City High School Varsity Cheer Squad where she loves stunting with her stunt group and is enrolled in all honors classes. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her best friend Madison, and shopping with her mom. She is a member of the Nazarene Church. Ava’s future plans are to pursue a career in the medical field.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN PRINCE: The ninth grade Prince for Queen City High School is JAMES GLADDEN. He is the son of Justin and Dawn Gladden and the grandson of Richard and Susan Youngker and James and Patricia Gladden. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and paintball. As a student at Queen City High School, James is a member of the Cross-Country team, Fishing team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Rally Boys, and a Student Council Representative. After high school, he plans on attending Texas A&M University and studying to become an engineer.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORE PRINCESS: The 10th grade Princess for Queen City High School is ADALYN TYSON. She is the daughter of Brad and Sara Tyson and the granddaughter of Tony and Barbie Wilbanks, Debra Welch, the late Greg Tyson, the late Sonja Finley, and MaryAnn Jordan. Adalyn is a member of the Queen City High School Varsity Cheer, who she helped achieve second place in state this past spring, the Band of Champions, One Act Play, Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Team, track team, and Student Council. She is a member of First Baptist Church Queen City where she is in the Youth Worship band. She also enjoys listening to the Veggie Tales Remix and yapping with Cade in the car. After high school, she plans to attend college for nutritional sciences and become a FUGE Staffer.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORE PRINCE: The 10th grade Prince for Queen City High School is DAKETRICK SMITH. He is the son of Carmen Washington and the grandson of Cynthia Smith and Charlie Richardson. He enjoys playing sports, especially basketball, and chilling with Tavon, DJ, Jason, Malaki, and Derrik. Daketrick is active in Queen City High School athletics, where he has won many awards for track and field and for the most free throws in basketball. His future plans include going to a D1 university to play either basketball or football.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR PRINCESS: The 11th grade Princess for Queen City High School is ANTONIANNA GAMBLE. She is the daughter of the late Dameshia Gamble and Eric Matthews, and the granddaughter of Bernice Gamble, Michael Kelly, Leslie Taylor and Willie Taylor. She enjoys spending time with her cousins Amyia and Kindrick and cracking jokes with her Gigi. Antonianna is a member of Varsity Cheer, Band of Champions, One Act Play, and Student Council. She is a member of Church of God in Christ. After high school, Antonianna plans on attending college to become a pediatrician.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR PRINCE: The 11th grade Prince for Queen City High School is HUNTER PARKER. He is the son of Angela Parker and Doug Parker and the grandson of Darlene Stone and William Huddleston, Johnny and Terry Nettles, and the late Wanda Thompson. Hunter is a good ‘ol country boy who loves riding horses and working hard on the ranch. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beautiful girlfriend Sarah Hackleman. In his free time, he can be found chilling with his mini me, Issac. He is the quarterback for the Queen City High School Varsity football team, is on the track and baseball teams, a member of FFA, is on the Trailer Team, and is an honor student. Hunter’s future plans are to continue his love for animals by attending Oklahoma State University to pursue a career as a large animal equine vet. He would also like to give a big shout out to his bosses John and Carol Barber for being his biggest supporters and pushing him to be his best self.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR FOOTBALL SWEETHEART: The 2022 Queen City High School Football Sweetheart is JENNA LAVOIE.
Jenna is the eighteen-year-old daughter of Eric and Barbara Lavoie and the granddaughter of David Brow and partner Cheryl Gaydosh, Paul and Barbara Koch, and Jack and Cecile Lavoie. She has been a member of the Queen City High School Athletic Program all through high school, playing both basketball and softball, as well as a member of the AG Program and the Trap Team all three years. Jenna has also been a member of Leadership Class where she volunteered at both the elementary and middle school campuses. In her free time, she likes visiting her sister at college, hanging out with Erica and their boyfriends, playing video games, going to movies, bowling, working at Eddie’s Dog Grooming and Boarding, and working in the nursery at her church. After high school, she plans on going to phlebotomy school and becoming a phlebotomist. Erica would like to give special thanks to her parents for always being there and never letting her give up and putting up with her attitude and her sister Erica for listening to her, guiding her, and being the best role model. She would also like to thank her boyfriend Manasseh for always listening to the same story ten times, encouraging her to get out of her comfort zone, and pushing her to do her best.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR HOMECOMING QUEEN NOMINEES: LAUREN CARRELL is the daughter of Kirk and Denisa Carrell and the granddaughter of Dennis and Martha Huddleston and Kenneth and Anita Carrell. Lauren is a four-year varsity starter in volleyball and has been a varsity starter in basketball and softball throughout her high school career. During her freshman year, Lauren was named the Lady Bulldog of the Year. In volleyball, she has earned first team all-district honors and second team all-district honors twice. While playing basketball her freshman and sophomore years, she was named MVP both years, and earned first team all-all district honors two times. During her softball career here at QCHS, Lauren was named second team all-district her freshman year, first team all-district her sophomore year and helped her team make history by being back-to-back district champs her sophomore and junior years, advancing all the way to the fourth round of playoffs. She is a two-time district golf champion who has advanced to regionals. Lauren has been a four-year Varsity Cheerleader where she is a three time All-American and was an All-State cheerleader her sophomore year. She helped her squad become bronze medalists in 2022 and silver medalists and Band Chant State Champions in the spring of 2023. She has been a member of Student Council for four years and currently serves as reporter, is a member of the National Honor Society, a four-year member of the Interact Club and is in the Top 10% of her class. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and attending church. After high school, Lauren plans to attend college and pursue a career in Elementary Education.
JORDYN JONES is the daughter of Joni Davis and Jeremy Jones and the granddaughter of Jimmy Davis, Debbie Hale, Nick and Bobbie Willis, and Bo and Debbie Jones. She has been a member of Queen City High School Varsity Cheer all four years of high school, named All-American Cheerleader this year, helped her squad bring home both bronze and state gold medals, and has been invited to try out for the UCA Cheer Staff. Jordyn is also a member of the National Honor Society and has served on Student Council. In her spare time, she likes riding around with Josie, dancing and cooking with her dad, hanging out with all her friends, and having long talks with her mom. Jordyn’s plans after graduation are to cheer in college and obtain a business degree.
LAUREL MOORE is the daughter of Lance and Rene Moore and the grandson of Elaine Stratton and the late Robert Stratton and Larry and Sandy Moore. She has been a member of the Band of Champions for the past four years and is a State Bronze Medalist, Varsity Cheer Mascot for four years, earning UCA All-American Mascot award all four years, and a Cheer State Bronze and Silver Medalist. She has also participated in athletics all four years of high school, competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball, playing two years in the outfield and making second team all-district. In addition to band and athletics, Laurel has been a member of the Interact club for three years, National Honor Society for two years and is the current Vice-President, Student Council all four years and is the current STUCO President, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership team. She has made all A’s all three years of high school and is in the top 10% of her class. In her spare time, she enjoys pestering her older brothers, mainly Luke, hanging out with friends and family, shopping, and going to church. Her future plans are to attend college and major in pediatric nursing. She would like to give a special thanks to all her classmates who voted her onto the court and all of those who had a part in helping her find the perfect dress.
KELSEY NASH is the daughter of Korey and Rhonda Nash and the granddaughter of James and Tina Hall, Robbie Smith, Harold and Yolanda Martin, and Nathan and Jenny Nash. She has been a member of the National Honor Society for the past two years. She was a percussionist and 2021 State Bronze Medalist with the Band of Champions, ran cross country for one year, and played varsity softball for two years, where she was awarded Second Team All-District Outfielder and helped the team make school history for being district champions two years in a row and being regional quarter finalists. She cannot wait to go further this year. Kelsey is a Rally Girl, a member of First Baptist Church Queen City, and loves traveling to the Rocky Mountains. Her future plans include attending Texas Tech University to become an architect.
MALLORI STRINGER is the daughter of Michael and Mandi Stringer, and the granddaughter of Ricky and Elaine Orr, Nancy Lee, and the late Mike Stringer. She is a Fellowship of Christian Athletes leader, Member of the varsity volleyball team all four years of high school, where she was named Offensive MVP her sophomore year and Volleyball MVP her junior year. She has also played varsity basketball for three years and was awarded the Lady Bulldog Pride Award for Basketball. She played softball for the last three years and was named to the First Team All-District all three years. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council and currently serves as the STUCO parliamentarian. Mallori is a recipient of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, and the Longview Orthopedic STAR Awards Foundation Athlete of the Week and Athlete of the Year nominee and scholarship recipient. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping at Lululemon with Lauren, spending time with her grandparents, cousins, and friends, and participating in the Ozark Leadership Institute. After graduation, Mallori plans to attend Baylor University and pursue a degree in Family and Child Health and then Occupational Therapy so she can work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
QUEEN CITY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR HOMECOMING KING NOMINEES: LATHAN CHAMBLEE is the son of Chris and Tabitha Chamblee and the grandson of Eddie Stephens and Rhodene Stephens, and Terry and Debbie Chamblee. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Queen City FFA, and the award-winning Trailer Team. Logan is also an athlete who participates in football, baseball, and track. He is an honor student and has been awarded Outstanding Student in Ag Power Welding. Lathan has a passion for all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, and working on projects in the shop. He loves riding four-wheelers and chillin’ with the boys at the Burg. In his free time, he attempts to play golf as well as spend time camping with his family. After graduation, Lathan plans to attend TSTC to earn his degree and later pursue a career as an Industrial Electrician.
LUKE MOORE is the son of Lance and Rene Moore and the grandson of Elaine Stratton and the late Robert Stratton and Larry and Sandy Moore. Luke is a member of the Queen City Band of Champions for four years, where he was a State Bronze Medalist, represented the bad at State Solo & Ensemble, and received the Band MVP Award. He has been on the QCHS Tennis team for three years, participated in Esports for two years, and competed in U.I.L Math & Science. Luke has been in the National Honor Society for two years and serves as the current NHS President and has been in Student Council for four years where he currently serves as treasurer. He has also participated in the Interact Club for the past two years, received All A’s the past three years, and participated in the RYLA Leadership camp this past summer. In his spare time, Luke likes watching the Dallas Stars and Houston Astros, playing Fort Nite with Sam, Gracie, and Harlon, playing tennis with the Immortals, and hanging out with his cousins. After graduation, he plans on going to college and majoring in business and engineering.
KE’IDIE HARRISON is the son of Semetria Harrison and Ja’Royce McCasland and the grandson of Dennis and Lucy Harrison. During his years at Queen City High School, Kei’idie has been a valuable member of the QCHS athletic program competing in football, powerlifting, and track. In his spare time, he likes to ride horses throughout the week and hang out with Jason. After high school, Kei’idie plans to play college football and become a professional horse trainer.
MASON STRINGER is the son of Kristi and Ryan Green and Rusty Stringer and is the grandson of Kenneth and Pam Eaves and Larry and Dixie Stringer. He is a member of the FFA Trailer Team and the Trap Shooting Team. He has played varsity football for all four years of high school and varsity baseball for three. He has been named to First Team All-District for both football and baseball. In his free time, Mason likes to play football, baseball, golf with friends, and hang out at the Burg on the weekends. After graduation, he plans on attending trade school.
MICAH WHITTINGTON is the son of John and Tracey Whitting and the grandson of Larry and Linda Matthews and Waylon and Barbara Whittington. He is a Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leader, Queen City FFA Vice-President, and Student Council Representative. Michah has played baseball for the past three years, is on the tennis team, Forestry and Wildlife Teams, and the Bass Fishing Team. In his free time, he enjoys hunting those birds with Killer (his dog), hanging out and playing music with his youth worship team, and watching movies and playing music with his girlfriend, Tilly. After graduation, Micah plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University and major in Music Education.
