On Saturday, Jan. 6, six Band of Champions members traveled to Chapel Hill HS for Area band tryouts against all the top players in classes 1A-4A
Three of the six earned their way into the All-State Band for the second consecutive year. Preston Scoggins earned 4A First Chair Clarinet honors, Kaylin Butler earned 4A Fourth Chair Clarinet honors and Alyssa Delgado earned 3A First Chair Clarinet honors.
The trio will travel to San Antonio Feb. 6-10, to play with the top two percent of high school musicians in the state
