QC,Atlanta, L-K lifters compete in Maud

Maud’s Last Chance Qualifier is literally a last chance meet for powerlifters to boost their numbers and make their way to the Regional meet.

There were 120 lifters present from 24 schools which included Atlanta, Linden-Kildare and Queen City.

As a team Queen City placed first overall, Atlanta fifth and Linden-Kildare eighth. Queen City Delvon Federick placed first in the 181-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,300 pounds, Kameron Wright placed first in the 242’s with a total lift of 1,280 pounds, Kaden Fincher placed second in the 165-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,135 pounds, Daniel Jones placed second in the 275’s with a total lift of 1,385 pounds, Christian Nard placed third in the 181-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,165, K’Idie Harrison placed fourth in the 242-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,175 pounds, Caleb Kimble placed sixth in the 123-pound weight class with a total lift of 660 pounds and Kordell Federick placed ninth in the 181’s with a total lift of 1,005 pounds.

Delvon Federick is ranked fifth in the region in his weight class and Fincher is ranked seventh in the region in his weight class.

Atlanta

Kyle Gross placed first in the 198-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,275 pounds, Caden Walker placed second in the 308’s with a total lift of 1,360 pounds, Junior Hartmann placed second in the SHW division with a total lift of 1,220 pounds, Davonne Crocker placed third in the 275’s with a total lift of 1,300 pounds, Austin Phelps placed sixth in the 148-pound weight class with a total lift of 940 pounds, Corbyn Wilson placed sixth in the 308’s with a total lift of 1,050 pounds and Darryck Prounh placed eighth in the 165-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,010 pounds.

Gross is ranked fourth in the region in his weight class, Walker is ranked fifth in the region in his weight class and Hartmann is ranked eighth in the region in his weight class.

Linden-Kildare

Michael Lane dominated the 132-pound weight class with a total lift of 915 pounds which beat out the second-place finisher by 90 pounds, Ta’Shun Mitchell placed third in the 198’s with a total lift of 1,135 pounds, Charlie Kirkland placed seventh in the 165-pound weight class with a total lift of 1,025 pounds and David Pena placed eighth in the 181’s with a total lift of 1,010 pounds.

Lane is ranked seventh in the region in his weight class and Mitchell rounds out the top 10 in the region in his weight class.
