QC volleyball tops Pittsburg

Queen City’s volleyball program battled 4A Pittsburg Sept. 11, and the varsity team came put on top in four sets.

QC took the first two sets, 25-19, 25-21, but Pitt won the third set 25-19.

The Lady Bulldogs pieced together a 25-18 set four victory to win the match.

Freshman setter Mallori Stringer had three kills and 14 assists, senior Claire Bates had 12 kills and seven service points with eight digs, senior Gracie Weeks added seven kills, junior Chyna Stiger had five kills and eight digs and junior Nyla Harrison had 12 digs and 18 service points.

The JV 1 team beat Pittsburg in three sets, 25-21, 24-26, 25-22, with Kacey McCall posting seven service points and Serenity Oden recording 12 service points.

The JV 2 team battled Pittsburg tough but fell by close scores of, 29-27, 25-22.
