QC falls to Mt.Vernon

On Aug. 16, Queen City’s volleyball program traveled to Mount Vernon to take on the Lady Tigers.
The varsity team lost in three tough sets, 24-26, 18-25, 22-25.
Dori Sasser had seven service points, Lauren Carrell added seven service points, 14 kills and five digs, Jamecia Cook had four kills, Madison Bailey had two blocks and Courtney Price posted six digs.
The JV 1 squad lost, 28-26, 21-25, 19-25 in a tough contest. Kerian Thomas had 12 service points and five kills, Dori Sasser added eight points and six kills, Gracie Alexander recorded five kills and one block and Macy Granderson had two blocks.
The JV 2 team lost, 9-25, 8-25. Aubrey Pattillo had two service points and both Makayla Jackson and Amiya Young had one kill each.
