Atlanta at Brook Hill

Atlanta travels to Bullard this Friday night to take on Brook Hill.

Brook Hill is a private Christian school located in Bullard, Texas and from the records I have seen they have only been playing football since 2005. In the past 17 years the Guard have won six district championships and played in three straight TAPPS state championship games in 2009, 2010 and 2011, winning the program’s first football state title in 2011.

This meeting will be the second meeting all-time between the two programs. The Rabbs won last year’s contest 35-28. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Linden-Kildare at Overton

Linden-Kildare travels to Overton this Saturday evening. The two teams have never met before last year’s slugfest. The Tigers beat Overton 28-26 in a thriller last year. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

Queen City vs. Elysian Fields

Queen City hosts Elysian Fields this Friday night as the Bulldogs open its district schedule against the Yellowjackets. QC leads the all-time series 9-7 but the Yellowjackets have won the last six contests. At one time the Bulldogs had an eight-game winning streak over Elysian Fields. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
