Atlanta vs. Brookhill
Atlanta celebrates Homecoming this Friday night as the Rabbits host Brookhill.
Brookhill is a private Christian school located in Bullard, Texas and from the records I have seen they have only been playing football since 2005. In the past 16 years the Guard have won six district championships and played in three straight TAPPS state championship games in 2009, 2010 and 2011, winning the program’s first football state title in 2011.
This meeting will be the first meeting between the two programs. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
Queen City at Elysian Fields
Queen City travels to Elysian Fields this Friday night as the Bulldogs open its district schedule against the Yellowjackets. QC leads the all-time series 9-6 but the Yellowjackets have won the last five contests.
At one time the Bulldogs had an eight-game winning streak over Elysian Fields. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
Linden-Kildare vs. Overton
Linden-Kildare welcomes Overton to town this Friday night for Homecoming. The two teams have never met before. L-K is coming off of a very close loss to Union Grove and Overton is coming off of a loss to Colmesneil.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
