Local All-District Basketball Honors

With basketball season wrapped up a few local players from schools in our coverage area took home All-District honors.

Atlanta

Atlanta’s girls’ basketball team made the playoffs again this year and players were recognized after the District 14-3A All-District information was released.

Baller Keyona Easter was named the district’s MVP.

First Team beneficiaries were Jennifer Easter and Tianna Lawson, Second Team recipients were Cyrah Jones and Sabriiyah Young and Honorable Mention players were Madison Bailey, Kitty McCauley, Destinee Webster and Destinee Wells.

McLeod

McLeod’s girls’ basketball team made the playoffs this year and several Lady Longhorns reaped All-District honors.

Gracie Lance was named Defensive MVP of the entire district.

Sibbie Comer and Kaitlyn Cross took home First Team honors, Ella Lambeth and Cary May earned Second Team honors and Honorable Mention -status went to Jillian Parker.

Academic All-District -recipients were Cary May, Jillian Parker, Sibbie Comer, Jacey Finlayson, Ella Lambeth, Gracie Lance, Stormy Johnson, Regan Johnson and Rielyn Schubert.

Queen City

Queen City’s Dylan Scott achieved Second Team status and teammate Caleb Dawson took home Honorable Mention honors.
