Lions Club really roars: A Lions Club update

Announcements made at the Lions Club meeting for Thursday November 14 included a reminder that on December 5th, they will be hosting the Chicken Pot Stew during Christmas on the Square. They will also be announcing the winner of the beautiful blanket during that day’s festivities. Chances to win can still be purchased at City Hall and from your local Lions Club members. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Lions Club Scholarship. A warm welcome back was given to Lion Joe DeNatale. Lions Club President Richard Bowden also read a letter thanking Linden Lions Club for their donation to Leader Dog, a charity that helps those with seeing and hearing issues get a guide dog.

This week’s meeting saw a packed house with special guest speaker Michelle Granado. Michelle is a sales representative for Scoop Specializing in Water and Wastewater Treatment and Equipment. She provided those in attendance with information on the importance of treating water and waste water.

Each Thursday, the Linden Lions Club meets at County Seat Café from 12 to 1 and they invite anyone with a volunteer spirit to join them. Each week brings a new special guest speaker, good food, and great spirit.
