Linden-Kildare, McLeod Compete at District Meet

Linden-Kildare and McLeod competed in the 21-2A district track meet on Apr. 1.

L-K’s varsity girls’ squad placed third overall in their division.

Linden-Kildare Varsity Boys

In the 100m dash Daquavious Richardson placed third at 11.90 and the 4x400m relay team of T.J. Patterson, Richardson, C.J. Sell and Keegan Salers placed fifth at 3:57.38.

Varsity Girls

In the 200m dash Summer Gibson placed fourth at 27.71; in the 100m hurdles Maggee Winters placed third at 17.40 and in the 300m hurdles Winters placed fifth at 53.53 and Jacee Quaid placed sixth at 55.04.

L-K swept the relays as the 4x100m relay team of Gibson, Jamiah Birmingham, Madi Bynum and Kalissa Roberts placed first at 50.89; the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed first at 1:48.51 and the 4x400m relay team of Winters, Birmingham, Bynum and Roberts placed first at 4:18.02.

In long jump Birmingham placed first with a mark of 17 feet, 5 1/2 inches; in triple jump Birmingham placed first with a mark of 37 feet, 3 inches and Roberts placed fourth at 31 feet, 10 1/2 inches; in pole vault Winters placed fourth at 6 feet, 6 inches, in discus Devonna Linwood placed fifth at 91 feet, 6 1/2 inches and in shot Taylor Charington placed fifth at 29 feet, 6 1/2 inches.

McLeod Varsity Boys

In the 200m dash Jaxon Smith placed first at 23.35 and Kannon Dempsey placed sixth at 24.79; in the 800m run Dylan Bouchard placed sixth at 2:19.70 and the 4x400m relay team of Bouchard, Dempsey, Smith and Grayson Owens placed third at 3:44.15.

JV Boys

In the 100m hurdles Riley Parker placed fourth at 19.15; in the 400m dash Lila McKnight placed fourth at 1:05.88 and the 4x400m relay team of Parker, McKnight, Madison Blair and Neely Hale placed fifth at 4:41.14.

In the 100m hurdles Malachi Rhodes placed second at 20.00; in the 300m hurdles Rhodes placed fifth at 53.77 and in shot Kason Cook placed third at 32 feet, 8 1/2 inches and Heath Shelton placed fifth at 31 feet, 7 1/2 inches.
