Linden-Kildare, McLeod compete in 21-2A district track meet on Apr. 10

Linden-Kildare Varsity Boys

For the varsity boys’, Charlie Kirkland placed third in the 100m dash at 11.60 and placed fourth in the 200m dash at 24.31.

Varsity Girls

The varsity girls placed third overall as they racked up 96 points.

In the 200m dash Jamiah Birmingham and Madilyn Bynum placed 1-2 with times of 26.68 and 26.89 respectively, in the 100m hurdles Jacee Quaid placed fifth at 19.07 and in the 300m hurdles Quaid placed third at 52.87.

The 4x100m relay team of Jakiah Birmingham, Jamiah Birmingham, Bynum and Carley Hays placed first at 51.90 and the 4x200m relay team of the same lineup placed first at 1:49.34.

In long jump Jamiah placed second at 15 feet, 3 1/2 inches and Bynum placed sixth at 14 feet, 5 inches, in triple jump Jamiah placed first at 35 feet, 2 inches, in discus Rylee Burns placed sixth at 87 feet, 11 inches and in shot Kaycee Neville placed first at 31 feet, 4 inches.

McLeod Varsity Boys

For the boys’ squad, Jackson Smith placed third in the 200m dash at 24.03, Brayden Blair placed fifth in the 400m dash at 56.99, in the 800m run Braden Patrick placed third at 2:15.22 and Ethan Arledge placed sixth at 2:10.14, in the 1600m run TJ Klingensmith placed fifth at 5:19.65, in the 3200m run Jase Deaton placed sixth at 12:23.00 and in shot Kannon Dempsey placed fourth at 39 feet, 8 inches.

The 4x200m relay team of Trenton McKnight, Dempsey, Smith and Grayson Owens placed fifth at 1:39.95 and the 4x400m relay team of McKnight, Dempsey, Smith and Patrick placed first at 3:45.42.

Varsity Girls

For the Lady Longhorns, Lyla McKnight placed third in the 400m dash at 1:08.11, in the 800m run Maddy Blair placed sixth at 2:47.70, in the 1600m run Samantha Ramos placed fourth at 6:17.56, in the 100m hurdles Chassie Gryder placed fourth at 17.43 and Riley Parker placed sixth at 17.48, in the 300m hurdles Parker placed sixth at 56.49 and the 4x4 relay team of Blair, McKnight, Jacqulyn Shepard and Gryder placed third at 4:42.27.

JV Boys

In the 100m dash Braden Baskom placed fifth at 12.58, in the 200m dash Baskom placed second at 25.65 and Layton Hale placed fourth at 26.98, in the 400m dash Dylan Smith placed fourth at 1:01.17, in the 110m hurdles Chase Cook placed second at 20.42, in the 800m run Jacob Foster, Eli Lucus and Smith finished 1-2-3 with times of 2:27.34, 2:27.58 and 2:34.42 respectively, in the 1600m run Foster placed first at 5:52.01, in long jump Cook placed second at 17 feet, 3 1/2 inches, in shot Tristan Kennedy placed sixth at 32 feet, 5 inches and the 4x4 relay team of Hale, Lucus, Smith and Baskom placed first at 4:04.28.
