Lady Rabbits garner All-District honors

Atlanta’s softball team had quite a ride this year. The team took only two losses during pre-district to a tough Nashville team, won district as undefeated champs and won a bi-district title.

When the District 14-3A All-District selection list was released it was no surprise the Lady Rabbs littered the document.

Junior Jordan Hodge was a unanimous pick as the district’s MVP, freshman Tori Clayton was named Offensive Player of the Year and Coach Tobie Dunlap and staff were named Coaching Staff of the Year.

Senior Callie Dyer was named a First Team Infielder, junior Cara Taylor was named a First Team Outfielder, junior Valerie Mason was named a First Team Co-Utility Player, sophomore Sydni Brooke Davis was named a Second Team Infielder, junior Madeline Clayton was named a Second Team Outfielder and Honorable Mention players were three freshmen, Hannah Wall, Kinlee Hamilton and Kelsey Nash.

Academic All-District honors went to Valerie Mason, Sydni Broke Davis and Tori Clayton.
