Lady ’Horns fall to Saltillo

McLeod’s varsity girls’ basketball team opened its season facing state-ranked Saltillo.

Aside from the first quarter, the Lady Longhorns kept the scoring close with the Lady Lions.

In the end Saltillo won the contest 41-33.

Reagan Johnson had 11 points with five rebounds, Chasse Gryder scored six points, Andrea Bertrand scored six points, Reagan Mitchell five, Sarah Ragland three and Kenslee Cross two.

Saltillo also won the JV girls’ contest 28-15. Dean had 12 points for McLeod and teammate Jaqulyn Shepherd added eight.
