Lady ’Cats wrap up Bi-District title

On Apr. 27, Bloomburg won a Bi-District championship by thumping Sulphur Bluff 15-0 in just four innings of play.
Corinne Ray was near flawless as she sat down nine batters and gave up only one hit in the shutout.
From the plate Ray hit a single, a double and had three RBIs, Jaysi Pond added a RBI, Katie Mote hit a single, Kaleigh Glasgow had a ribeye, Cassie Glasgow hit a RBI double, Haylee Breedlove hit a RBI single and Emalee Blizzard hit a triple and had three RBIs.
The Regional Quarterfinal round against Neches will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 6, at Marshall High School. Game two is at 2 p.m. on May 7, with game three to follow 30 minutes after if necessary.
