L-KCISD Majorettes

As the 2020 summer heated up, the Linden-Kildare High School Majorettes got to work!

The week of July 20, Codie Lovelady, a majorette at Stephen F. Austin University, travelled to Linden to help prepare the L-K majorettes for the upcoming school year. The girls started at 8 a.m. each morning with stretches and fundamentals before polishing up traditional routines and learning several new ones.

“The girls learned a LOT of content in a short amount of time” said their sponsor Lisa Stanley.

“I’m very proud of their effort and tenacity”, said L-KHS band director Ron Williams, “I’m impressed! They’re going to be ready to go, whatever the future holds.”

Apparently, the girls worked hard, because when asked about the camp, captain Gabby Mosley commented “It was great! But my legs and feet hurt really bad.”

If all goes well with the 2020 football season, Gabby and the others – Camdyn McNutt, Katie Sellers and Katelyn Duncan – will strut their stuff with that Roarin’ Band from Tigerland at all L-KHS pep rallies and home games.
