L-K, McLeod track stars compete at Union Grove

Linden-Kildare and McLeod track and field teams participated in the Dee Mackey Relays hosted by Union Grove on Mar. 4.

Linden-Kildare

For the varsity boys’, Jay Birmingham placed third in the 100m dash at 12.02, Jaquavious Birmingham placed second in the high jump at 5 feet, 10 inches, Asher Wells and Ja’Kyrik Nard placed 2-3 with times of 24.80 and 25.39 respectively in the 200m dash, the 4x200m relay team of Birmingham, Wells, Birmingham and Kinson Eaton placed sixth at 1:41.13 and the 4x100m relay team of Wells, Nard, Jaq Birmingham and Charlie Kirkland placed third at 45.89.

For the varsity girls’, Madilyn Bynum won first place at 13.63, placed fifth in the 200m run at 28.88 and placed sixth in the 400m run at 1:11.64, Charis Minson placed fourth in the 400m run at 1:09.80 and sixth in the 800m run at 2:52.54, Lasonya Nard placed fourth in shot put with a toss of 31 feet, 5 inches and fifth in discus with a heave of 82 feet, 4 inches and Rylee Burns placed third in discus with a mark of 86 feet, 3 inches.

McLeod

For the varsity boys’, Logan McClain and Braden Patrick placed 2-3 in the 800m run with times of 2:23.00 and 2:25.00 respectively, Jase Deaton placed fourth in the 1600m run at 5:27.00 and T.J. Klingensmith placed sixth in the 1600m run at 5:32.00, Trenton McKnight placed sixth in the 400m run at 58.60, Tyler Williams placed third in the triple jump at 40 feet, 5 1/2 inches and the 4x400m relay team of Williams, Patrick, McClain and McKnight placed third overall at 3:53.00.

For the JV boys’, Parker Patrick placed fourth at 59.94 in the 400m run and Trey Gant placed sixth at 2:29.57 in the 800m run and sixth in the triple jump at 32 feet, 7 inches.

For the varsity girls’, Rielyn Schubert placed fourth in the 800m run at 2:44.25 and sixth in the 1600m run at 6:34.82.
