Football Preview Week 5

Atlanta vs. White Oak

Atlanta plays its second straight home game this Friday night as the Rabbits host White Oak.

The Roughnecks lead the all-time series 4-1 and up until last year the two teams had not met since 1949.

This game marks the middle of the schedule and the first district game for both teams.

Last year White Oak won the game 28-21 but an injury-plagued Rabbits’ team is looking to right the ship with a win over the Roughnecks this weekend.

Before the contest three more outstanding Atlanta athletes will be admitted into the Atlanta Athletics Hall of Fame.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Queen City vs. Elysian Fields

Queen City plays its third consecutive home game this Friday night as the Bulldogs open its district schedule against Elysian Fields.

QC leads the all-time series 9-5 but the Yellowjackets have won the last four contests.

At one time the Bulldogs had an eight-game winning streak over Elysian Fields.

Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.

Linden-Kildare at Hawkins

Linden-Kildare opens district play this Friday night against Hawkins.

The two teams have only met three times before with L-K pulling out wins in both 2018 and 2019.

Hawkins won last season’s matchup.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
