Fishing team takes top spot

The 4D Fishing Team of Carson Dillinger and Dylan Benson paced the field of 42 boats on Sept. 27, to take the top spot in the first stop of the Ark-La-Tex Bassmaster High School Tournament Trail on Lake Millwood.

Carson Dillinger attends Atlanta High School and Dylan Benson attends Queen City High School. This duo found a pattern during their pre-fishing day and were able to reproduce this on tournament day to bring in the winning bag.

Within the first hour of the tournament they had a five fish limit in the livewell, and were looking to cull with each bass brought to the boat.

The 4D Fishing White Fluke was the winning combination on this day. The tandem of Dillinger and Benson caught 30 bass on this 4D Fishing White Fluke. In doing so they culled seven times and brought their final weight to 13.56 pounds.

Carson and Dylan are sitting in the top spot on the Ark-La-Tex Bassmaster Tournament Trail standings and look to continue the success at the next stop on Lake Wright Patman on Oct. 31.

The 4D Fishing Team earned scholarship winnings from this tournament.
