The Lady Rabbs jumped out to a 9-point lead in the first and never looked back as they won the contest 47-36.
Atlanta was up 14-5 after quarter number one and had a nice 27-16 lead at the break.
The Lady Rabbs and Lady Tigers were even at 20-20 in the second half.
Freshman standout Kym Sheppard posted another double-double as she scored 16 points with 10 rebounds, and teammate Tianna Lawson almost netted a double-double as she scored 10 points with nine boards.
Jennifer Easter added 11 points with two rebounds and two assists, Destinee Webster had eight points with two boards and Victoria Clayton recorded two points with four rebounds.
Bloomburg
Bloomburg’s varsity girls’ basketball program topped Maud 59-27 Nov. 20. Haylee Breedlove and Jacee Glasgow scored 14 points apiece and Cassie Glasgow chipped in 12 points of her own.
McLeod
McLeod’s boys’ basketball team hosted the preseason top-ranked team in Class 2A Nov. 17. The sixth-ranked Longhorns played Martin’s Mill close in each quarter except the second and that was enough for the Mustangs as they outdistanced the Longhorns 56-44.
McLeod was down only one after the first quarter but a 15-2 run in the second gave the Mustangs a 32- 18 lead.
The ’Horns outscored Martin’s Mill 26-24 down the stretch but the damage was done in the first half of play.

No. 6 McLeod vs. No. 8 Atlanta
Two Cass County basketball powers collided Nov. 20, when the sixth-ranked McLeod Longhorns hosted the eighth-ranked Atlanta Rabbits.
Both teams are ranked in its respective classes and did not disappoint in this contest.
The first quarter of play ended with a 9-all tie, but a 19-12 run for Atlanta in the second frame put the Rabbs up 28-21 at the half.
A close battle of 15-13 in the third stanza gave Atlanta a 43-34 lead going into the final quarter.
In the fourth quarter the Longhorns put up a stampede of points as they outscored the Rabbits 28-15 en route to a 62-58 victory.
Keldyn Schubert tossed in 27 points with eighth assists and five boards, Nathan Parker added 13 points, Silas Murdock had 12 points with eight rebounds, Nos Gryder had five points with five rebounds and Casey smith posted four points. The Longhorns were 22-of-29 from the charity

For the Rabbs Alex Boston poured in 22 points, Daimion Collins added 18, Caleb Hamilton posted nine and Kameron Dickerson had six.
Atlanta was 14-of-20 from the free throw line.
Queen City
Queen City’s Lady Bulldogs’ basketball program picked up two big wins Nov. 17, over a tough Clarksville program.
The varsity team claimed a 50-46 win behind Hannah Fitts’ 16 points.
Alex Larry poured in nine points, Lauren Carrell added five, Gracie Weeks, Mallori Stringer and Chloe Phillipi scored four points each and Jamecia Cook, Serenity Oden and Cierra Brady scored two points apiece.
The junior varsity team cruised to a 48-14 win with Trinity Oden scoring 16, Erica Lavoie 14, Aubrie Kiser nine, Jordyn Jones seven and Trinity Jimenez two.
Queen City’s varsity girls’ basketball squad topped county rival Linden-Kildare 52-29 Nov. 20.
Lauren Carrell led the way with 12 points, Alex Larry added 11, Jamecia Cook posted six and Nyla Harrison five.
Serenity Oden, Mallori Stringer and Gracie Weeks each put up four points and both Hannah Fitts and Trinity Oden scored three points apiece.
M.U.M.S.
Queen City’s eighth grade girls’ junior high basketball team battled a tough Redlick team Nov. 16, and fell 39-27.
The leading scorer for Queen City was Laterika Jackson with 16 points.
