Atlanta Rabbits at Queen City Bulldogs
Atlanta and longtime rival Queen City met on the diamond Mar. 29, as the Rabbs looked to avenge a district loss to the Bulldogs the first go-around.
Atlanta hung on for a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs and pulled into a tie with Hooks for second place in district as of this article.
Queen City was in first place as of this article. Will Woodruff gave up just five hits over five and two-thirds innings and struck out seven.
Woodruff posted an RBI from the plate, Peyton Harrison added a single, Peyton Gaston added a ribeye, Eli Mitchell was 2-for-3, Cason Whatley added a hit, Evan Mitchell had two knocks with an RBI and Brady Partain had a hit.
For the Bulldogs, Rylee Green had a couple of knocks, Blaylock added a single, Mason Stringer added a hit and Kaden Satterfield hit an RBI single.
Lady Rabbits at Lady Bulldogs
Rivals were on a collision course Mar. 29, as Atlanta and Queen City softball teams met for another district battle.
QC scored two runs in the first frame and never looked back as they beat the Lady Rabbs 8-1.
Trinity Oden gave up three hits from the circle with 11 strikeouts and from the plate was 2-for-3 with a 3-run homerun and three RBIs. Oden’s blast was her fourth homerun in three games.
Serenity Oden added two hits, Laurel Moore posted a hit with two RBIs, Paitynn Weeks added two hits and both Lauren Carrel and Keeli Mainer added RBI singles.
For Atlanta, Carlajah Adger recorded a hit and Kinlee Hamilton added two hits with an RBI.
Lady Bulldogs
QC upended Paul Pewitt 22-0 on Mar. 26, in threeand- a-half innings. The Lady Bulldogs were up 2-0 after the first frame but a 12-run second plus an eight run third iced the contest.
Trinity Oden was immaculate from the circle as she blanked Pewitt with no hits given up and sat down 11 batters.
From the dish Oden hit her third homerun of the season, smacked a double and drove in four runs.
Serenity Oden was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, Lauren Carrell was 2-for-3 with a 2-run homer and three RBIs, Brenna Turbeville was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, Laurel Moore was 3-for-3 with a double and a ribbie, Mallori Stringer added a hit, Keeli Mainer added a single, Mallory Hamilton posted an RBI single and both Jenna Lavoie and Kelsey Nash recorded an RBI apiece.
Linden-Kildare Tigers L-K fell to Maud 9-1 on Mar. 20. Keegan Surratt, Hugh Tyson and Ethan Churchman all hit singles in the contest.
On Mar. 26, L-K fell to Ore City 11-6 although Hugh Tyson (6) and Peyton Foreman (3) combined for nine strikeouts.
Logan Hankins was 3-for-4 with a double, Keegan Surratt added two hits with a ribbie, Tyson added a hit, Maysen Lemmon added a single, Tylton Surratt was 3-for-4 with a double and two ribeyes and both Ethan Churchman and Keegan Salers added singles.
On Mar. 27, the Tigers beat James Bowie 4-1 as Maysen Lemmon gave up just four hits and struck out three.
Keegan Surratt had ahit with two ribbies, Max Belford, Tylton Surratt, Lemmon and Logan Hankins added singles and Peyton Foreman was 2-for-2 with an RBI.
On Mar. 29, L-K fell to Rivercrest 9-3. Keegan Surratt and Maysen Lemmon had two hits apiece, Ethan Churchman added a single and both Hugh Tyson and Logan Hankins hit RBI singles.
Lady Tigers
On Mar. 26, the Lady Tigers lost a close game to James Bowie 8-6.
Ada Whatley scattered seven hits and struck out eight and Callie Johnson gave up a hit in relief and struck out two.
Allie Watson was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Ally-Jo Dixon was 3-for-4 with a double and two ribbies, Kalissa Roberts added a hit, Kaycee Neville added a single, Olivia Stewart hit an RBI single and Sophia Hampton added a single.
Lady Tigers vs. Lady Longhorns
On Mar. 27, the Lady Tigers fell to county foe Mc-Leod 5-1.
Kenslee Cross was electric from the circle as she scattered six hits and struck out 13 for McLeod.
Cross fell a double short of the cycle as she went off for three hits which included a 2-run homerun, a triple and a single with three RBIs.
Kori Byargeon hit an RBI single, Taylor Dees added a single and May had two hits.
For L-K, Hannah Wall was 2-for-3 with a double, Ally-Jo Dixon was 2-for-3 with a triple, Allie Watson hit an RBI single and Breleigh Conejo hit a single.
Lady Tigers at Lady Wildcats
On Mar. 28, the Lady Tigers beat county foe Bloomburg 13-3.
Olivia Stewart had two hits with a double and a ribbie, Kaycee Neville had two hits with a double and an RBI, Hannah Wall was 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and four RBIs, Sophia Hampton was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, Breleigh Conejo had two hits with a triple and two RBIs, Ally-Jo Dixon hit a single, Allie Watson added two knocks with a ribeye and Lacy Johnson hit an RBI single.
