Atlanta Rabbits

Atlanta’s baseball team took part in the Texas High Tournament Feb. 29 – Mar. 2.

In game one of the tourney the Rabbs dispatched Longview 15-3.

The Lobos had just pulled within two runs at 5-3 before the Rabbs exploded for double-digit runs in the top of the sixth frame.

Will Woodruff scattered three hits over six innings of work from the hill with four strikeouts. From the plate Woodruff had a hit with two RBIs.

Eli Mitchell was 3-for-4 with a triple, Jaden Riley had two hits with a triple, Peyton Gaston hit a double and drove in two runs, Peyton Harrison was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, Brady Partain had a hit and drove in two runs, Cason Whatley hit an RBI single and Evan Mitchell was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

In game two, the Rabbs fell to Texas High 11-3. Will Woodruff hit two singles, Brady Partain had two knocks, Eli Mitchell, Easton Owens and Peyton Gaston each hit singles and Evan Mitchell had a hit with two RBIs.

In game three, the Rabbs and Liberty-Eylau played to a 1-1 tie. Jaden Riley and Peyton Harrison each hit singles and Easton Owens had two hits with an RBI.

Atlanta Lady Rabbits

The Lady Rabbits took part in the Ashdown tourney Mar. 1-2.

In game one, Atlanta rolled past Horation 17-6 as Gabby Arredondo scattered five hits and struck out nine.

Kalissa Reliford had a couple of RBIs, Carlajah Adger hit an RBI single, Aleesha Parkman was 3-for-4, Tori Clayton was 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, Arredondo had two hits with three ribbies, Gabby Petrofsky hit an RBI single, Keirsten Underwood had two hits with a double, Kinlee Hamilton hit two doubles and Brylee Fiscus hit a single.

In game two, the Lady Rabbs fell to Genoa Central 12-11 on a walkoff. Carlajah Adger hit a 2-run shot to tie the game 11-11 in the top of the seventh inning.

Adger had three hits with the homer and two RBIs, Kalissa Reliford was 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI, Aleesha Parkman an RBI double, Tori Clayton hit an RBI double, Keirsten Underwood had a double with two ribeyes and Gabby Arredondo had two knocks with three RBIs.

In the third game, Atlanta smacked Waldron 27-8 after the Lady Rabbs scored 19 runs in the first frame and eight more over the next two innings.

Carlajah Adger was a homerun short of the cycle with four RBIs, Tori Clayton was 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs, Kinlee Hamilton was 4-for-4 with two triples and three RBIs, Kalissa Reliford was 3-for-4 with three ribbies, Aleesha Parkman was 3-for-4 with three ribeyes, Gabby Arredondo had an RBI, Gabby Petrofsky had an RBI, Keirsten Underwood was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and Anna Davis was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

In the fourth contest, the Lady Rabbs beat Bradley 17-2. Tori Clayton was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs, Kalissa Reliford was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two ribbies, Carlajah Adger hit a single, Aleesha Parkman had an RBI, Gabby Petrofsky was 2-for-3 with two ribeyes, Keirsten Underwood was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and both Anna Davis and Kimlee Hamilton added singles.

In the fifth and final game of the tournament, the Lady Rabbs fell to James Bowie 10-9 on a walkoff infield hit.

Kalissa Reliford had a couple of knocks with an RBI, Calrlajah Adger had two hits with a triple and two RBIs, Tori Clayton was 4-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, Keirsten Underwood had two knocks with a triple, Anna Davis was 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI, Gabby Arredondo hit an RBI single and Kinlee Hamilton was 2-for-3.

Linden-Kildare Tigers On Feb. 29, the Linden-Kildare baseball team fell to Paul Pewitt 12-6 in the New Boston tourney. This is the same Brahma team that the Tigers had outscored 22-7 in two games already this season.

Hugh Tyson gave up two hits and struck out four and Tylton Surratt gave up a hit and struck out a couple of batters.

From the dish, Keegan Surratt hit a double, Max Belford had a hit, Peyton Foreman was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Maysen Lemmon had a hit with two ribbies, Tyson added an RBI and Luke Minson hit a single.

In game two, the Tigers played to a 5-5 tie with North Lamar. Peyton Foreman scattered five hits over three innings with six strikeouts and Logan Hankins gave up two hits and struck out six over two innings of work.

Keegan Surratt had an RBI, Foreman hit a single, Maysen Lemmon hit an RBI single and Hugh Tyson hit an RBI single.

In game three, the Tigers fell to Fouke 3-1 although Maysen Lemmon struck out eight over six innings.

Keegan Surratt, Peyton Foreman, Lemmon and Hugh Tyson all hit singles in the contest and Keegan Salers had an RBI.

Linden-Kildare Lady Tigers

The Lady Tigers took part in the Union Grove tourney last weekend and left town with a 4-1 mark.

In the first game, L-K won 2-0 over Alba-Golden behind Ada Whatley’s 1-hit, 4-strikeout performance.

Olivia Stewart hit an RBI triple and Hannah Wall added a single. In game two, the Lady Tigers bested host Union Grove 15-5 in three innings. Kaycee Neville hit a double and had four RBIs, Ally-Jo Dixon was 3-for-4 with two doubles and four ribbies, Hannah Wall was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, Lynlee LeJeune hit a single, Olivia Stewart added a single with two RBIs and Sophia Hampton hit an RBI single.

In games three and four, the Lady Tigers met up with Harmony. L-K won the first match 6-2 but fell in the other match 5-3.

In the first tilt, Ada Whatley struck out six from the circle and Breleigh Conejo was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Hannah Wall added a couple of knocks, Kaycee Neville had an RBI, Zaliyah Mitchell had an RBI, Ally-Jo Dixon and Sophia Hampton added singles, Lacy Johnson had an RBI and Olivia Stewart was 2-for-3.

In the loss, Hannah Wall was 2-for-3 with an inside the park homerun, Olivia Stewart hit a double, Lynlee LeJeune hit a single, Kaycee Neville hit two singles, Allie Watson added an RBI single, Ally-Jo Dixon hit a single and Kalysa Roberts posted a single.

In the final game, the Lady Tigers blanked Gladewater 8-0 behind Callie Johnson’s 1-hit shutout.

Hannah Wall hit two doubles and had an RBI, Kaycee Neville hit an RBI double, Lynlee LeJeune had two knocks with two RBIs, Allie Watson added a single, Breleigh Conejo added a single, Ally-Jo Dixon hit an RBI single, Olivia Stewart had two hits, Sophia Hampton added a single and kalysa Roberts recorded an RBI single.

Queen City Lady Bulldogs

Queen City opened district play on Feb. 27, and did so in fine fashion as the Lady Bulldogs blanked Paul Pewitt 19-0 in four innings.

Trinity Oden pitched a complete-game shutout after giving up no hits or walks and striking out 10 of the 12 batters she faced.

Oden also tossed 40 pitches in which 37 were strikes and from the dish she was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Brenna Turbeville was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, Mallori Stringer was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, Serenity Oden was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, Laurel Moore posted an RBI, Lauren Carrell was 2-for-4 with two ribbies and Keeli Mainer added an RBI single.

On Feb. 29-Mar. 2, the Lady Bulldogs took part in the Saginaw tournament where they would face large 5A schools in the process.

In the first game, Queen City blanked Estacado 11-0 as Trinity Oden gave up just one hit and struck out 11.

Brenna Turbeville hit an RBI triple, Serenity Oden was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs, Trinity Oden added an RBI single, Laurel Moore was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Lauren Carrell added a single, Keeli Mainer posted an RBI and Kylie Parker hit an RBI single.

In the second game, QC topped host Saginaw 13-5 as Trinity Oden gave up just two hits and struck out 10 batters.

Trinity Oden hit a triple and posted four RBIs, Serenity Oden added a single, Mallori Stringer hit an RBI single, Keeli Mainer was 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, Laurel Moore hit a triple and posted two ribbies, Lauren carrell added an RBI and Kelsey Nash hit a double.

In the third game, the Lady Bulldogs fell to Burleson 6-5 although QC turned in a ferocious comeback attempt.

Trinity Oden scattered six hits and struck out eight from the circle. Brenna Turbeville was 2-for-3 with a double, Serenity Oden hit an RBI double, Mallori Stringer hit a double, Trinity Oden hit an RBI single and Laurel Moore added two RBIs.

In the fourth contest, QC battered Fossil Ridge 15-1 as Trinity Oden scattered three hits and struck out six.

Serenity Oden hit a 2-run homer, a double and posted four RBIs, Trinity Oden was 2-for-2 with an RBI, Mallori Stringer hit a single, Kesley Nash a triple, Lauren Carrell hit an RBI double, Laurel Moore hit a double and recorded four ribbies, Keeli Mainer added a hit, Paitynn Weeks hit an RBI single and Kelsey Nash hit an RBI single.

In the final game, QC fell to Richland High School 2-0 in a pitcher’s duel. Trinity Oden gave up four hits and fanned 10 in the game.
