Atlanta, Queen City lifters contend at Maud meet
Atlanta and Queen City powerlifters competed in Maud on Feb. 24, in the Last Chance Qualifier meet.
Overall the Atlanta boys finished first at the meet as regionals are set for this upcoming Saturday, March 5, at Malakoff High School.
Atlanta’s lady lifters competed in the Region 3 meet on Feb. 26, at Fairfield High School which involved 132 participants.

Avery Whitlow has had an amazing year and sits fourth in Region 3.
At the Maud meet he placed first in the 132-pound weight class with a total lift of 950 pounds, teammate Austin Phelps placed 10th in the 148’s with a total lift of 795 pounds, Xavier Nash placed third overall in the 181’s with a total lift of 1,065 pounds, Wesley Kennedy placed first in the 198-pound weight class with a total lift of 965 pounds, Jaden Wells placed first in the 242’s with a total lift of 1,425 pounds, Davonne Crocker placed second in the 275’s with a total lift of 1,140 pounds and Corbyn Wilson placed third in the 308’s with a total lift of 1,000 pounds.
For the ladies, Anna Daniels placed 10th in her weight class with a total lift of 580 pounds, Reaganne Molina and Anessa Smith placed 8-9 in their weight class with lifts of 590 and 575 pounds respectively and Rylie Wilson placed seventh in her weight class with a total lift of 500 pounds.

For the Bulldog lifters, Braden Wiley placed seventh in the 148-pound weight class with a total lift of 875 pounds, Micah Whittington placed 12th in the 148’s with a total lift of 645 pounds, Delvon Federick placed third in the 165’s with a total lift of 1,120 pounds, Christian Nard and Kaden Satterfield placed 6-7 in the 165’s with lifts of 1,050 and 975 pounds respectively, Timothy Brady placed 10th in the 165’s with a total loft of 770 pounds, Clint Wooding placed fifth overall in the 181-pound weight class with a total lift of 965 pounds, Tyson Bell placed third in the 242’s with a total lift of 965 pounds and Daniel Jones placed third in the 275’s with a total lift of 1,140 pounds.
