Atlanta Middle School boys’ hoops sweep Hooks Hornets

8A - After early buckets were exchanged, Hooks held a 6-4 advantage, the Rabbits then went on a 12-0 run to end the first quarter and never looked back, running away with a 49-27 victory. Kelvin Roberson led the winners with fifteen points, Aiden Shields had fourteen and Hardy Sheppard thirteen. Roberson added many rebounds and defensive steals, and when the Hornets made it past the Rabbit press, Hardy Sheppard sent many Hornet attempts to the stands with big time blocks.

7A - Atlanta got out on the fastbreak early and often, never looking back, routing the Hornets 4615. Eight different Rabbits scored, with Cruz Crosby leading the victors scoring thirteen. Zay Smith netted twelve and J’Kyron Anderson added seven. Jayden Moore, JT McNeal, Nash Winters and Rylan Buford each scored three and Marq Anderson added two.

8B - Cordemion Roquemore was a force on both ends of the floor, scoring five points and helping the Rabbits prevail 23-0. Riley Sutton led all scorers with eight.

7B - The night started with a 28-7 victory for the 7B Rabbs. Gavin Conejo led the home squad with thirteen, Dennis Gulley and Daniel Webb added five and four.

All AMS boys’ teams are now 4-0 in district play and will play again on Jan. 9 at New Boston
