Jan. 28, the Atlanta varsity boys’ basketball squad dispatched Pewitt, 86-20. Junior baller Daimion Collins poured in 26 points and had nine blocks, Hunter Allen posted 25 points with five boards, Caleb Hamilton added nine points, Terunte Neal eight, JJ Fields seven and Alex Boston five. Jan. 31, the Rabbs destroyed Hooks, 99-54, with Daimion Collins punching in 32 points with 14 rebounds, 11 assists and six blocks, Kameron Dickerson added 16 points, Hunter Allen recorded 13 points, Keyshawn Easter had 11, JJ Fields 11, Alex Boston six, Terunte Neal six and Caleb Hamilton four.
McLeod
McLeod’s boys’ basketball team topped Maud, 48-33, Jan. 31, which put its record at (26-2, 7-0). Trevor Dell posted 23 points and 15 rebounds, Kobe Bonner added 10 points and Keldyn Schubert six. McLeod’s Lady Longhorns beat Maud, 54-17, Jan. 31, and pushed its record to (23-8, 7-2). Sibbie comer scored 17 points with 10 rebounds, Reagan Johnson pulled down six rebounds, Jacey Finlayson, Kaitlyn cross and Rielyn Schubert added six points apiece and both Ella Lambeth and Gracie Lance put up four points each.
AMS
Atlanta Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade girls’ teams were in action last week against Redwater. The seventh grade A team won, 30-9, with Adger posting 12 points, Edwards eight and Davis six. The eighth grade A team fell, 34-25, with Nelson posting 13 points and Sheppard eight.

Morris Upchurch Middle School’s eighth grade girls’ basketball team Queen City topped Redlick, 53-13, last week with Lauren Carrell posting 14 points.
