Spring Creek Enterprises once again sponsored the course bounty, in which eligible 1st place male and female finishers could win an additional $500 prize if the standing course record was broken. Although the finishing times for this year’s 5k were impressive, the 2018 record times of male 15:34 and female 19:56 stand for another year. “It’s always exciting to see the first few runners cross the finish line, and with so much on the line, the anticipation really builds. Even though the bounty wasn’t claimed this year, I was really impressed we had so many runners finish under 30 minutes,” added Melissa Kimble, Foundation Development Coordinator.

After the run, participants and community members were treated to a delicious Thanksgiving feast at CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital-Atlanta. This year’s turkey cook-off winner was Mark Lafferty with Lafferty’s Home Center.

The pumpkin pie cookoff winner was Amanda Lafferty with her pumpkin pie crunch. Special thanks goes to Aramark for sponsoring the feast and to the staff at Cass County Bank for helping serve.
