Linda Barnwell

Linda Barnwell age 73, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital.

Linda was born February 12, 1948, in Atlanta, Texas, to Jamie and Frances Duke. She was employed with Edward Blank and Associates; and was a Christian. She enjoyed spending time with her family; watching the Texas Rangers; and was an avid supporter of our 45th President Donald Trump. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Herring; daughter, Christie Lynn Barnwell; brothers, Charlie Duke and Bill Duke; sister, Darlene Duncan; and her parents.

She is survived by two daughters, Tracy Benson and husband Pat of Queen City; Wendy Barnwell Whelchel and husband Marty of Arlington; sisters, Debra Solis and Annette Allen both of Atlanta, Texas; grandchildren, Kelsie Pannell and husband Gunnar of Longview, Texas, Abigail Whelchel of Arlington; great-granddaughters, Kate and Hadley Pannell of Longview, Texas; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2021 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Baxley officiating.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Queen City Cemetery.
