Lacleda Howell

October 7, 1928 - January 19, 2026

Our beloved Mom, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Lacleda Howell, age, 97, of Atlanta, Texas went to be with the Lord January 19, 2026 in Texarkana, Texas.

Lacleda was born October 7, 1928 in Dallas, Texas, to Noah Carl and Artie Adams. She was a stay at home Mom leading the efforts to raise her seven children.

Over the years she was a member of Springdale Baptist Church, First Baptist Church Atlanta, and most recently, Beulah Land Baptist Church in Atlanta. She loved to play the organ and piano and sing praises to her Lord and Savior.

She volunteered to do so in many churches across Atlanta and Queen City, as well as for several elderly facilities across the area. If you were fortunate enough to hear her beautiful sweet voice, you received a blessing.

She was preceded in death by her late husband J.R. Graham II, and her beloved husband of almost 44 years, Billy Ray Howell, her daughter Charlotte Rhea Howell, and son, Billy Paul Howell She is survived by her children, Sharon Graham of Atlanta, TX., Gary and Debbie Graham of Shreveport, LA., Tina and Grady Dobbs of Texarkana, AR., Jay and Beverly Graham of Newnan, GA., and Willie and Marta Howell of Sadler, TX.

Grandchildren: Gloria Busch, Jesica Hatton, Kelly Graham, Stacee Northam, Lily Dobbs, Brittany Adgie, Riley Graham, Reid Graham, Alye Copelan, Chris Copelan, Hope Howell, Grace Howell, Joshua Pujals, Josiah Pujals, and Juliette Johnson.

Great Grandchildren: Sydney Hatton, Gracie Hatton, Landon Graham, Ella Graham, and Ollie Adgie.

Viewing Services were held Monday, January 26 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Hanner Funeral Service, in Atlanta, Tx.

Funeral Services were held at Springdale Baptist Church in Queen City, Tx. on January 27 at 2:00 p.m. with James Wallace and Orville Farren presiding.

A graveside service followed for her final resting place in the Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery.
