Kelley Whatley

November 22, 1960 - June 15, 2025

Kelley Whatley, age 64, of Queen City, Texas, formerly of Kildare, Texas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 15, 2025, in a local hospital. Kelley was born November 22, 1960, in Wichita, Kansas, to Owen and Sharon Prothro. She was a homemaker, and a member of Cross Creek Cowboy Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; going to church, shopping, vacationing with friends, and social media where she was admittedly hacked many times.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Whatley; daughter, Heather Whatley; brother Brian Prothro; and by her father.

Kelley is survived by her children, Timmy Whatley and wife Julie of Huffines, Texas, Mickey Whatley and wife Felicia of Kildare, Texas, Hiliary Neville and husband Justin of Texarkana, Texas; her mother, Sharon Prothro of Haysville, Kansas; brothers, Terry Prothro and wife Elizabeth of Waskom, Texas, Larry Prothro and wife Cheryl of Hayesville, Kansas; sister-in-law, Rhonda Surratt of Kildare, Texas; brother-in-law, Bruce Whatley of Hallsville, Texas; grandchildren, Gage Whatley, Cason Whatley, Easton Whatley, Kayeleigh Whatley, Joleigh Neville, Karlee Whatley, Madison Prince, Jett Whatley, Emmey Whatley, Jack Neville; and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Cross Creek Cowboy Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. Paul Murdock officiating.

Interment will be in Kildare Cemetery, Kildare, Texas.
