JAMES RONALD “RONNIE” ALLEN April 23, 1957 - March 21, 2026

James Ronald “Ronnie” Allen, age 68, of Douglassville, Texas was born April 23, 1957, and passed away peacefully with his children by his side on March 21, 2026, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He leaves behind a legacy of quiet kindness, hard work, and devotion to the people he loved most.

He is predeceased by his father Aubrey Allen, sister Laura Beth Allen, and sister-in-law Venita McCellon Allen.

He is survived by his loving mother, Wanda Allen; brother and best friend, Donald “Oscar” Allen; sister Carol Allen; his children, Kimberly Pereira (Jeff) and Stephen Allen (David), whom he loved unconditionally; and his cherished grandson, Landry Pereira. He is also survived by many nieces, a nephew, great nephews, extended family members, and friends including the “Douglassville Boys” who meant so much to him.

Ronnie spent over 30 dedicated years working for the United States Post Office before retiring. Through rain, heat, and cold, he faithfully served his community and became a familiar and friendly face to many in Naples, Texas. Those who knew him could count on a wave, a quiet smile, or a brief conversation that always made the day a little better. An avid outdoorsman, Ronnie found peace and joy in nature. He loved hunting, fishing (especially for catfish), and trapping. Some of his happiest moments were spent at The Cabin with the Douglassville Boys. He appreciated the simple things in life and the freedom that came with them. Though Ronnie could be a quiet man, his actions spoke volumes. He had a deep sense of loyalty and care for those around him, often putting others before himself without hesitation. His steady presence, gentle spirit, and willingness to help will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a life marked not by loud words, but by meaningful actions, steady love, and a quiet strength that touched many. Ronnie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
