Bulk waste pick-up
Atlanta residents will have the opportunity to get rid of bulk waste free May 11-15, on their regular polycart service day. Residents are limited to three cubic yards, which equals about the size of a pickup bed. Acceptable items include household furniture, outdoor furniture, clothing, green waste (properly bagged), sticks and limbs that are bundled not exceeding four feet. The City of Atlanta will not accept white good or appliances, electronic waste, televisions, tires, paints, oil, batteries or other hazardous waste.
The city also reserves the right the refuse any item deemed to pose a health or safety risk. Unacceptable items will be left at the curb.

Union Chapel UMC welcomes you Union Chapel United Methodist Church would

Free meals
Starting in October, QC Methodist Church will serve beans, soup, cornbread and desserts from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every first Monday of the month. For more information, please contact Elouise at 903-7967525.
Linden Garden Club meetings
The Linden Garden Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month (August through May) at the Linden Garden Club building at 300 East Houston Street, Linden.
The meeting time is 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Members and visitors are welcome to bring a sack lunch to enjoy from 11:30 till noon. Desserts and drinks are provided. The meeting and programs begin at noon. Everyone is welcome.
Native Plant Society meetings
The Native Plant Society of Texas Caddo Wildflower Chapter meets at 6:30 p.m.the fourth Tuesday of the month (Jan-Oct) starting off with a potluck and ending with a plant raffle at the Mary Daugherty Senior Canter in Linden. All are Welcome!
Senior Citizens Center
The Mary Daugherty Senior Citizens Center is open all week for anyone who would like to join the group there for bingo, exercise, crocheting and a meal.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday exercise is from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by bingo from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and eating from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. On Tuesday crocheting is from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by bingo from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and eating from 10:45 to 11:30. On Thursday bingo is from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by eating from 10:45 to 11:30.
Every third Friday of the month they have “Birthday Friday” where they celebrate birthdays and have cake for those present. That normally begins at 10:45.
