Staying Informed, Staying Involved
One of the defining strengths of Cass County is the close connection between our citizens and their local government.
From Avinger to Bloomburg, Domino to Douglassville, Marietta to Atlanta, Linden, QC, and Hughes Springs—each community holds regular public meetings that help guide the future of their town.
In cities like Avinger, Bloomburg, Domino, Douglassville, and Marietta, meeting information is available by contacting City Hall directly.
In Atlanta, Linden, QC, and Hughes Springs, agendas are posted online, and we’ve included those links in this newsletter for your convenience.
No matter where you live in Cass County, these meetings are open to the public and they matter.
Local government works best when citizens are engaged.
Whether it’s decisions about infrastructure, public safety, economic development, or community events, these conversations shape the daily lives of our residents.
Attending a city council meeting is one of the simplest and most effective ways to stay informed and to have a voice in those decisions.
Our system of government depends on participation. It’s not just encouraged, it’s essential.
In smalltown America, the distance between the citizen and decision-maker is short by design. That accessibility is a strength worth preserving.
Cass County has a rich heritage and a bright future.
That future is shaped, in part, by those who choose to show up, stay informed, and take part in the process.
