Maxwell receives residency to Baylor Scott & White-Temple

An Atlanta student was among those receiving a residency placement at Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences’ College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery on national Match Day.

Emily Maxwell of Atlanta was one of 48 in the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine program to match for residency.

Maxwell will begin podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple after commencement in May.

Match Day is the annual event when medical students nationwide learn where they will complete their residency training.

The Class of 2026 matched into highly regarded podiatric residency programs across the country.
