Burn ban issued March 24

Cass County Judge Travis Ransom issued a seven-day burn ban on Tuesday, March 24.

The ban would expire Wednesday, April 1, unless it is deemed necessary to extend.

Recent dry weather along with low humidity makes conditions favorable for even small fires to get out of control.

Residents who disregard the ban could face a fine up to $500.
