Atlanta competes in Paris

Atlanta’s track program took part in the Deon Minor Wildcat Relays in Paris on March 17.

For the Lady Rabbs, Deqeca Smith placed third in the 100m dash at 14.09, Sasha Ramirez placed first in the 200m dash at 27.58, Bella Brown and Addie Giesler placed 1-2 in the 800m run with times of 2:42.42 and 2:44.85 respectively, Ella Stewart and Lucy Ransom placed 2-3 in the 1600m run at 5:52.98 and 6:02.83 respectively, Stewart placed second in the 3200m run at 12:35.74, Magee Winters placed second in the 100m hurdles at 17.34, Bailey Brooks placed third in the 300m hurdles at 53.61 and in the long jump event, Sa’Riya Williams placed third at 13 feet, 9 1/2 inches.

The 4x100m relay team placed first at 48.40, the 4x200m relay team placed first at 1:44.16 and the 4x400m relay team placed second at 4:16.14.

For the Rabbs, Zay Guilbert placed second in the 100m dash at 12.04, Derrell Sewell placed first in the 200m dash at 23.11, Jackson Pelfrey placed third in the 400m dash at 54.22, Ian Bard placed first in both the 1600m run and 3200m run at 4”56.68 and 10:44.90 and second in the 800m run at 2:07.56, Michael Kassens placed third in the 800m run at 2:09.57, Dayton Havard placed second in the 110m hurdles at 16.76 and Easton Riojas and Ayden Washington placed 2-3 in the 300m hurdles at 44.48 and 46.27 respectively.

The 4x100m relay team placed third but both the 4x200m and 4x400m relay teams placed first overall.

In discus Kaigen Lloyd placed second with a toss of 124 feet, 8 inches and in shot Kam Williams placed second at 43 feet, 3 inches.
