Voting is underway
Cass County Republican candidates are gearing up to face-off in the upcoming Tuesday, March 3, election to fill local offices.
Among the contested races are Cass County Commissioner Precinct 2, Cass County Commissioner Precinct 4, Cass County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1, Cass County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4, and Cass County Treasurer.
Candidates in contested races are as follows: Cass County Commissioner Precinct 2 H.J. Vissering Kevin Young, incumbent Cass County Commissioner Precinct 4 Ann Hickerson Steven Terry Allen Williams Jr. Cass County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Donna Berry Terri Price, incumbent Cass County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Randal Lee Bridget Green Smith, incumbent Cass County Treasurer Courtney Allen Melissa Shores, incumbent Candidates on the ballot in uncontested races are as follows: Cass County Clerk Amy Varnell Cass County Criminal District Attorney Courtney Golden Cass County District Clerk Jamie Price Albertson Cass County Judge Travis Ransom Cass County Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Gina M. Hughes Springs Community Center, 902 East First St./Highway 11, Hughes Springs, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. For the primary election, all voting polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
