Three shot during trail ride

A planned event turned sideways after three people were shot while attending an ATV trail ride and bonfire in Douglassville on Feb. 7.

Initially the Cass County Sheriff ’s Office was called to the scene for an apparent ATV crash but upon arrival the deputies learned three people had suffered gunshot wounds.

Each of the victims were taken to hospitals and all of the injuries were considered non-life threatening.

The Pushin Pretty event graphic strictly enforces no entry if you have weapons on your person or in your vehicle.

The group posted on its Facebook page that the event overall was successful and that although they do their best to keep things safe, they cannot control the ignorance shown by some when it’s time to go home.
