Commissioners’ Court convened on Feb. 10
The Cass County Commissioners’ Court met at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 10, 2026, in the Cass County historic courthouse district courtroom, second floor, located at 100 E. Houston Street, in the city of Linden, Texas.
The court was to consider and take appropriate action regarding approval of the minutes from January 28, 2026, Commissioners Court Regular Session, and discuss a Matter of Record which was a 2025 Certificate of Compliance of Continuing Education for Melissa Shores.
As for regular agenda the court was to: Consider and take appropriate action regarding approval of a Resolution Supporting Legislation to Improve County Road Infrastructure and Safety.
Consider and take appropriate action regarding approval of the Cass County Investment Policy. Presented by Melissa Shores.
Consider and take appropriate action regarding approval of registering with TAC CIRA for the 2026 Cybersecurity Training which fulfills Texas Gov’t Code 2054.5191.
Consider and take appropriate action regarding approval to send two representatives from the Cass County Historical Commission to the 2026 Real Places Conference April 8-10, 2026 sponsored by the Texas Historical Commission.
Consider and take appropriate action regarding approval of the District Attorney office software conversion to LGS.
Consider and take appropriate action regarding approval of the Cass County Financial Policy.
Consider and take appropriate action regarding approval of the County Auditor’s financial report and approval of expenses. Presented by Auditor Lauren Ayers.
The decisions made concerning the considerations during the meeting will be in next week’s edition of the Journal-Sun.
All matters listed under Consent Agenda are considered to be routine by the Commissioners Court and will be enacted by one motion without separate discussion. If discussion is desired, that item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately.
