Under the direction of Vonda Harris and Becky Russell, the MUMS One Act Play team competed at the UIL District Contest earlier this month, performing Kamikaze Kate, and earned a third place finish—bringing home well-deserved hardware for their hard work and dedication.

In addition to the contest performance, the cast also performed for their school and parents last week, giving the community an opportunity to see the production and celebrate the students’ hard work.

After the performance, Mrs. Sumpter recognized Tichard Booth for stepping in at the last minute and learning all of Jack Sumpter’s lines after Jack suffered a broken jaw in a basketball game just days before the competition. His willingness to jump in exemplified teamwork, dedication, and true Bulldog spirit.

Several cast members received individual honors: All Star Cast: Ari Simmons, Tesla Langston, Honorable Mention All Star Cast: Allie Berry and Cast and Crew Award: Paisley Howard.
