Another successful Hometown Christmas

The Annual Hometown Christmas event in downtown Atlanta this past Saturday was flooded with people of all ages.

Businesses in the downtown area opened their doors to throngs of families and groups.

The Sweet Spot was packed full, the Rabbit Patch and Luigis were steady with customers and even places like Jana’s Mercantile, the Rabbit Hole 1 & 2 and The Reclaimed Rack were flooded with folks.

This year’s festivities included a skating rink, bounce houses, a train ride, photos with Santa, a vendor market, food court and participating local stores offering activities and goodies.

Even the Plaza on Main was hopping and the Lions Club was out selling its famous sausage on a stick.

The Gingerbread Dash 5k & Fun Run took place earlier that afternoon.

With a lot going at one time the volunteer group, led by Kimberlee Belyeu, organized a successful event.

As is with any big event the organizers are already looking forward to next year.
