Linden’s veterans’ memorial monument is a stately and meaningful addition to its courthouse lawn.The flags sometimes wave freely on windy days, such as the two commending prisoners of war and ones missing in action.

The holiday season of Fall gives residents and visitors of Linden a reason to look around. One sees the town in its bare condition. Trees are empty of leaves and so are the flower beds. One looks to see the town in its year-round dignity.
What one sees of Linden is its natural state.
One is able to look closely. Sometimes it will renew one’s appreciation of life in the town.
