HealthCARE express launches campaign

As the holiday season heats up with gatherings, treats and toy-sharing, HealthCARE Express is launching a festive new initiative titled “Wash Your Paws” to help kids and families build fun and effective hand-washing habits and keep winter illnesses in check.

During the winter months, HealthCARE Express clinics see a rise in colds, flu, RSV, strep and stomach bugs — all of which can spread easily through touch. The “Wash Your Paws” campaign uses upbeat tools and kid-friendly materials to make proper hand-washing easier to remember and more enjoyable for children and families across all the communities we serve.

The campaign includes a cheerful hand-washing jingle set to the tune of “Jingle Bells,” a festive Klondike coloring sheet, and a hand-washing instruction sheet for homes, classrooms and holiday events.

These resources encourage children to wash for at least 20 seconds, scrubbing the front, back, between fingers and under nails using warm water and soap.

“We wanted to create something families would actually use throughout the holiday season,” said Spencer Reynolds, CEO and part owner of HealthCARE Express. “When kids are singing, coloring and talking about washing their hands, it helps protect everyone from illness and keeps the focus on enjoying celebrations instead of missing out because of a cold or flu.”
