Rabbits lose district contest to Gladewater
Atlanta had its 8-game win streak snapped last Friday after losing to Gladewater 34-18.
The loss was Atlanta’s first district loss of the season.
CJ Whaley got the Rabbs on the board with a 27yard field goal but Atlanta still trailed 13-3.
Later in the second frame, Jayden Riley broke loose for a 63-yard touchdown and after the Whaley PAT the Rabbs were down just 13-10.
The Bears pulled away after that and was up 34-10 when Rabbit QB Brayden Thompson hit Marshawn Woodberry for a 63-yard touchdown. The Rabbs went for two and made it.
Thompson passed for 200 yards and a TD, Riley had 90 yards receiving and 63 yards rushing with a score, Woodberry had 70 yards receiving with a score and Whaley added 36 receiving yards.
