Chamber moves into new location

Sometimes change is good.

The Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce has been a driving force behind local business growth and community development since 1948.

For as long as most of us can remember it has been located inside the historic Texas and Pacific Railroad Depot.

It was announced a few days ago that the Chamber has been moved to a new physical location right in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

The new address is 108 N. William Street and the new phone number is 903-310-5260.

You can also contact the Chamber at atlareachamber@ gmail.com.

Chamber President Tammy Davenport said online, “We are thrilled to be settled into our new space. We owe a huge thank you to Pinecone Development for generously donating our beautiful new sign and to Peek Insurance for donating the office space. Their support helps us continue to serve you and the community.”

“The Chamber will continue to work with its members to support local businesses, host networking events, and promote community growth - just from our new location. You can find more information about our non-profit organization at atlantatexaschamber.com. We appreciate the community’s understanding during this transition and look forward to continuing to serve our members and local businesses from our new office.”

The historic depot is being renovated and will be fully operated by the City of Atlanta’s Tourism Department.

It will open as the Atlanta Visitor Center & Museum. Davenport also posted, “We are also excited to announce that you should be watching soon for a newly reconstructed Visitors Center to be opening at the downtown depot. The City of Atlanta, Tourism, and the Atlanta Economic Development Corporation are partnering well to bring you the continued services you have grown accustomed to, along with some new, exciting additions and changes to look forward to.”
